Here’s some great news for for those adults suffering from chronic joint pain!

A study in 2021 explored the effectiveness of chiropractic care and exercise on older adults with spinal disability (arthritis). I have provided the link to the study HERE if you would like to read it for yourself, but I will also provide you with the conclusions determined by the study:

"Those [older adults] who received long-term [chiropractic] management reported greater improvement in neck pain, self-efficacy, function, and balance. Chiropractic care was viewed as improving spinal pain and controlling symptoms, while exercise therapy was noted for its long-term impact on self-efficacy and self-management. These older adults considered changes in pain, a global sense of improvement, and improved biomechanical function as making treatment worthwhile."

What does all of this mean? Essentially, if you are someone who suffers from chronic joint pain, you have options outside of drugs, injections, and surgery! Spinal manipulation helps to maintain function of joints, including arthritic joints. It helps to reduce pain and keeps your joints moving in their proper range of motion. Chiropractic care is a natural and safe form of care without all of the nasty side effects. It is also proven to be more affordable than other forms of heath care, making it an excellent way for you to keep the pain away. Combine this with a regular exercise program and you’ve got a great recipe to keep in good shape.

I’m always touting the benefits of being proactive in health. In too many cases, people often delay seeking help for various injuries and ultimately create more damage in the process. By keeping on top of your issues and not letting them creep up, you’ll do a much better job of staying fit and taking part in the activities you want to do on a daily basis. Maintain your health and experience the effects of better aging!
